destroys Christmas.

The monster of boredom

lurks in the dark.

The bunny of happiness

hops around in the grass,

and plays with her friends.

The Giraffe of Jealousy

copies everyone around the zoo.

She gives everyone a big frown

because she is mean when she’s jealous.

The cow of sadness

lumps around whose

only purpose is being used

as a food source.

The Mouse of Mischief

roams around causing trouble.

Let your guard down

and the trouble will double.

collects nuts,

stores its nuts for the harsh winter coming.

No matter how much it loses it never stops.

fast and always hunting

never ever grunting

accelerating at a fast pace.

squawking for more information.

is wise from atop

ruling the jungle, he'll never stop.

The sea butterfly of life

flies through the sea

looking for friends.

The Dragon of Greed

flies around and takes everything

they think they're entitled to.

The axolotl of curiosity

swims in the depth of the world.

While the world is scary

she will always explore.

The horse of prowess

bucks and tramples

with valor and bravery.

He fearlessly

strives to canter and gallop

once more.

The Lion of focus

watches carefully, eyeing down its prey    

ready to pounce, not paying attention to anything else

waiting for the right moment.

           Tree

The tree, its limbs stretching up and through the clouds

the bark, rough

armor maybe

but what does it need protection from, for it is a giant.

         Night

The sky, black velvet, but the moon

breaking through the black ink

and sending its sparks

Breaking the darkness till the dawn.
